Guidelines issued by the Government of India to be followed in the Lockdown extension from 4th May 2020 to 17th May 2020. The Government of India extends lockdown for the third period of time to 17th May 2020. In this extension, the government has distributed districts in three zones - Red, Orange, Green. Red zone will hardly get any reliefs, Orange zone would get partial reliefs and the Green zone is going to get many reliefs. Government introduces Canada Emergency Response Benefit to help workers and businesses to cope during the outbreak of Coronavirus The Government of Canada is taking strong, immediate and effective action to protect Canadians and the economy from the impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic. No Canadian should have to choose between protecting their health, putting food on the table, paying for their medication or caring for a family member. To support workers and help businesses keep their employees, the government has proposed legislation to establish the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). This taxable benefit would provide $2,000 a month for up to four months for workers who lose their income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CERB would be a simpler and more accessible combination of the previously announced Emergency Care Benefit and Emergency Support Benefit. Rs 1.70 Lakh Crore relief package under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana for the poor to help them fight the battle against Corona Virus PRADHAN MANTRI GARIB KALYAN PACKAGE I. Insurance scheme for health workers fighting COVID-19 in Government Hospitals and Health Care Centres Safai karamcharis, ward-boys, nurses, ASHA workers, paramedics, technicians, doctors and specialists and other health workers would be covered by a Special insurance Scheme. Any health professional, who while treating Covid-19 patients, meet with some accident, then he/she would be  compensated with an amount of Rs 50 lakh under the scheme. All government health centres, wellness centres and hospitals of Centre, as well as States, would be covered  under this scheme approximately 22 lakh health workers would be provided insurance  cover to fight this pandemic.
